"It's 1996, and Josh and Emma have been neighbors their whole lives. They've been best friends almost as long-- up until last November, when everything changed. Things have been awkward ever since, but when Josh's family gets an America Online CD-ROM in the mail, his mom makes him bring it over so Emma can install it on her new computer. When they sig on, they're automatically logged onto Facebook...but Facebook hasn't been invented yet. Josh and Emma are looking at their profiles fifteen years in the future. Their spouses, careers, homes, and staus updates-- it's all there. But it's not what they expected. And every time they refresh their pages, their futures change. As they grapple with the ups and downs of what their lives hold, they're forced to confront what they're doing right-- and wrong-- in the present."
I would be freaked out if I found a future profile of myself and married to someone I don't even know. I would be curious though to where I lived and who I worked for. Would you look at your profile? What if you found a future you wanted, would you log back in later to see and change your whole future? There is soo many questions I would ask myself. I'm not even sure I would want to know my future and just live day by day.
I can't wait to read farther into this book to see what happens. Of course I'm going to have to keep reading to see if I enjoy the book farther. I just started reading this book today and I got to page 70 really quick. The font is sorta larger which makes it a faster read. So I hope I finish this book quickly to find out what happens.
I'm obviously not going to rate this book yet because I'm hardly into it. I need to know if it catches my attention through the whole thing. I love books that keep my attention from the beginning all the way to the end. I doubt I will post another post about this book so if I have something to say I will put it in the comments. So check back!
So question is: would you look at your future profile if you stumbled upon it?
