December

I can't believe it's almost the end of 2012, this year has seemed to have flown by. In my mind it should still be summer, but nope Christmas is creeping around the corner. A lot of great things have happened this year and I can't wait to see what next year brings me.

Things that happened this year:

• Voted in my first presidential election.
• Moved out into my own place.
• Got employee of the month and a raise at my job.
• Got 2 kittens of our very own!
• Went Black Friday shopping for the very first time.
• Got my second tattoo and a rook and cartilage piercing. 

Probably a lot more happened but since I can't seem to remember I will leave it at that. This upcoming year I plan to blog a lot more than I do right now. I want to also start up a video blog for my other blog, but we will see how that goes. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

MacBook Pro

I just got a new laptop just recently because my Sony decided to break down on me after a year of owning it. I sent it in to be fixed and was hoping that it would work but they gave me an estimate of close to $300 and I was no way going to spend that much to fix that. I went about a month and a half without a computer and no TV... it was hell.

Oh I guess I haven't blogged since I moved out. I moved out of my parents house at the beginning of the summer. I moved in with my boyfriend and we live in a basement. We have no satellite to watch TV but we do have this thing that gets us a couple of the local channels. I have been sticking to Netflix mainly. 

To make our place a little bit more like a "home" we got two kittens. We named them Ebony and Sage and let me tell you they are quite the handful sometimes. They get into everything and chew up things (like my headphones... gahh). They are getting better except they are determined to always go out the door. I will have to post pictures of them soon. 

Still working at the same place. Exciting news there is I got employee of the month for September =]. Not much happening at work just the same stuff. Hmm not much really to say this is just an update to what has been going on. Took a couple of days to get into this account because I forgot the email I used for it. It's soo nice to have a computer though!

I decided to splurge and buy an Apple computer cause I have heard nothing but good about them. I got the 15 inch MacBook Pro and I am in love with it! It's the best! I don't know why I didn't get one sooner lol.

Well thats about all I know right now. I am going to try to blog more often but thats what I always say. Laters =]

Memorial Day Weekend.

Yesterday my family and I went and put flowers on the graves of the ones we lost. One two of the graves my aunt put up hanging flower baskets that looked like this:

This is the one that is a couple graves up from the one that was stolen but it looks identical to this except the one that got stolen had a pinwheel in it. The person that took this left the pinwheel and threw it on the grave:

I don't know how someone could do such a thing in a cemetery especially on Memorial Day weekend. I couldn't believe someone would do this. And not even six hours after we put them there. That's sad.

Oh hey, I still have a blog...

It has been quite awhile since I've been on here to blog. Nothing is really going on or there really isnt anything I can think to blog on. All I have been doing lately is just working and trying to get back to college, but so far no such luck. I'm having trouble getting classes for next semester but hopefully I get it figured out.
So lately I just finished The Hunger Games book. It was AMAZING and I wanted the second one right after I read it but unfortunatly we didnt own it. I have the second book now and I am currently reading that. I really want to go see the movie but I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to watch it. I hope it follows the book, but I heard the movie is better than the book. We shall see!
I have also been quite addicted to a website called Tumblr lately. I'm not quite sure why but it's more frequently visited than Facebook (which may I add is getting boring). Tumblr is like a site where you can blog and post pictures. I use it to reblog pictures I like and occassionally post some of my own. When I first joined this site I had no clue how to really use it or how you found things. Now I am addicted and following over 300 blogs.
Another thing that happened a couple days ago is our family cat that we have owned for over 17 years passed away =[. He has been here since I was 2 years old and it really sucks coming home and he's not there to greet you at the door or driveway. He lived a long life and I hated him seeing like he was, I know he is in a better place but I miss him a lot. We do have another stray cat whom I've fallen in love for! She's the sweetest little thing ever and her eyes are just amazing. She just had kittens somewhere so I haven't seen her as often as I would like though.
Alright well I dont have much more to say right now. I hate how short this is but I really dont have much to blog about. I really wish I did but all I ever really do anymore is work.

The First Week

So it's almost been a full week with my "Wreck This Journal" book. I have done a couple pages which I will show you on this blog. I noticed with this book though I get some really good ideas for pages but end up not doing them because I can't draw worth a crap so the pages are left blank instead.

This page was to create your own page numbers. I wish my numbers would have turned out better but I like this page for how it turned out anyway. The page numbers I decided to use for the whole book are just all in black Sharpie, nothing special to them. This page didn't take me very long to do it was quite simple.






This Scratch Using a Sharp Object page wasn't that hard but it was sort of difficult because of the utensil I was using. I used a small push pin that goes on a cork board to create my scratches. I decided to go with a quote "Live, Laugh, Love!" The cloud around the instructions on the pages took quite some time to do. I have to say this page turned out really well but my finger was purple after doing this page.

This was the first page I ended up doing out of the whole book I think. I found the nearest paper to me and realized it was from the current day so I couldn't use a section that was important. So I went to the classifieds and took the horiscopes and the pet page. The problem I ended up having was when I went to glue this page my glue must have been too old because it was like water all over the newspaper.

This page was super easy but fun to do. I don't know why I waited to do this page but I guess I just did.

This page took the most time I think because of coming up with four letter words. I ended up coming up with quite a few of them and I wanted to fill the page. My original idea was to just write the words out and not draw anything, but I think it turned out cool with the drawings. I liked how this turned out but I wish I could have drew some other things like a dinosour by the rawr. This was the most recent page I have done I haven't done another one since that.



This page was probably one of the pages that took the most time. I had a compeletely different idea for this page but this is what I came up with. What I wanted for this page was to have zebra print lines running onto both pages but instead I took the easier route and did diagnal lines and swervy lines. The coloring took forever on these pages and went through a lot of sharpening on those dang colored pencils. I like how the colors ended up turning out though.

Alright well thats all I have done for now. The next time I do a post about these I'm going to try to figure out a different way to show the pictures and explain about them since this didn't turn out very well. Not sure how many pages I will get done this upcoming week since I have to work quite a bit.

Wreck This Journal

I recieved this book yesterday right before I was heading to work. I wanted to work on it right then but I knew I had to go. So it got to take it's first journey to work with me. I couldn't wait to start on it. I found this book by just going through my tumblr and saw some of my followers had one and posted pictures of their pages.
One of the mistakes I made was looking at other peoples pages because now I want to make mine as pretty and cool as theirs. I wish I never would have looked at those, but I'm trying to make it as original as possible. I also wish I was a better artist so that I could actually draw some cool things inside of it.
On some of these pages you literally have to wreck this book, like bring it in the shower with you or spill coffee on it. One of the funny ones I found was to tie a string to the book and take it on a walk with you. I plan on doing everything in this book but some of these things will be a bit difficult.
I plan on taking pictures of every pages I complete and post them onto this blog hopefully to give me something to actually blog about. So far I have only worked on the front page of putting down my name, and guess what! I've already messed up on it haha. Oh well, this book is all about mess ups. I can't wait to work on it farther when I have time and supplies for it. My book looks clean now, I can't wait to see what it looks like once it's finished.
Keri Smith is the author of this book and she has many other books. I looked into her other books and they are all similiar to this book just different. If I enjoy this one when it's finished I may just invest into getting some of her other books. These books seem to get the creative juices inside of you flowing and have you do different tasks so you don't have to think of your own.

Writers Block

I just don't know what to write anymore. This is exactly what happened to my other blog, I was only writing one post per month. I wasn't going to let this happen to this one, but it looks like it's following right in the footsteps of it. It makes me really angry because I feel like I have a lot to say, but not so much of actually saying it.
I've used Google for ideas but it basically tells me nothing. Supposed to get my own ideas out of this head that feels soo blank. I wish I could actually write something, anything really. I am tired of having nothing to write when I feel like typing a whole day away. All I've got is nothing, nothing at all.
I hope this goes away soon cause this drives me crazy!

Tomorrow is Valentines Day. The day I used to hate soo much, but that was over 3 years ago. Ever since then I've loved it, maybe it's because I have had a Valentine since then. I can't wait to surprise my boyfriend tomorrow, I just hope he likes the stuff I got him. I have to get up early to go put it all in his locker before he gets there, but then I have to go to work.
Speaking of work, today I had to work a four hour shift. Well I cashed this guys huge check and not even a half hour later he had purchased me flowers. I thought it was nice of him to do but he didn't have to do that. He bought them for me because he thought he caused problems when he was cashing his check when really I just made a mistake, he felt bad for having me to do extra work? I dont know. I ended up taking the flowers home for my mom to have.
Okay well I guess I'm done for now.

Teen Mom 2

In this entry I am going to write about my favorite TV show. I have followed this show from the very beginning which is a first for me because most shows I get bored and just lose interest. I'll write about Teen Mom 2 because the current season is on TV right now. I follow them all on Twitter also, so I already have read whats gone on this season. I always hate when the season ends because then I don't have anything to watch on my Tuesdays.
Out of this season my favorite one is Chelsea and her baby Aubree. I think she would leave Adam though, she does much better without him. Oh and how can I forget she loves leopard print, and sometimes when I watch these episodes I wish I could steal some of her animal print stuff. I just finished watching the Unseen Moments, and I literally laughed out loud when Chelsea and her friend were working out and Aubree decided to try to copy them. She is soo cute! Plus she is lucky to have a dad that helps her out and gives her some pretty good advice, he seems pretty funny. I was surprised to see her friend Megan in this episode.
Next is Kailyn, she is doing pretty good in my opinion, she's going to school and going farther than people thought she would. After watching this last episode I was wishing her and Joe got back together but obviously they don't. Isaac looks so happy with both of his parents together and I am honestly surprised when she had Joe stay the night. I like seeing them getting along, but she has gone pretty far with herself since moving out and going to school. In this last episode her boyfriend Jordan was getting angry because of Joe coming to visit Isaac, I would be worried if it was me too, but I think Kail should have told him what she was feeling, he deserves to know.
Leah does a lot of crying in this episode and looks like she does in the next one too. She seems to be going through a lot. I read that Corey already knew about her cheating before the wedding, but he brought it up during the time he was cheating? Weird. I'm glad she went and filed for divorce first and left wondering if she will get full custody of her two girls. I love Aleeahs eyes, they are soo blue. Now I dont agree with cheating but both did wrong, but I cannot stand watching Corey, he's always wearing the same thing and he seems selfish. Plus whats up with it seeming like Leah is the only one taking care of the twins?
Now onto the Jenelle, the one I can hardly watch because all the yelling and drugs annoy me. Surprisingly this episode was sort of a tear jerker when she went off to rehab in California. I was glad she decided to finally clean her life up, hopefully she can do it because I think she could be a pretty good mom to Jace if she just cleaned up and put him on top of her priorities. I could not stand Kieffer one bit, he was soo annoying and always wearing that same green zip-up hoodie. I was glad that she called and ended things with him, I think she went even more downhill when she started dating him. Hopefully when she returns from rehab she wont fall back into the same drama.
So I guess next week is the season finale or so I've heard, I sure hope not. I get confused by how people say this show "glamorizes" teen pregnancy. I honestly don't see how, how is getting a divorice at 18, not finishing high school, having custody fights, and no sleeping cool? I can defiantly see more girls trying to get pregnant just to be on this show, but that's just stupid. Alright enough of my spill on this show haha.

The Future

I just started reading this book called The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler and it really got me thinking. That's good for a book that I am only 70 pages in to actually get me wondering right away.

I would be freaked out if I found a future profile of myself and married to someone I don't even know. I would be curious though to where I lived and who I worked for. Would you look at your profile? What if you found a future you wanted, would you log back in later to see and change your whole future? There is soo many questions I would ask myself. I'm not even sure I would want to know my future and just live day by day.
I can't wait to read farther into this book to see what happens. Of course I'm going to have to keep reading to see if I enjoy the book farther. I just started reading this book today and I got to page 70 really quick. The font is sorta larger which makes it a faster read. So I hope I finish this book quickly to find out what happens.
I'm obviously not going to rate this book yet because I'm hardly into it. I need to know if it catches my attention through the whole thing. I love books that keep my attention from the beginning all the way to the end. I doubt I will post another post about this book so if I have something to say I will put it in the comments. So check back!

My Favorite App

Out of all the apps that I have on my phone I probably use this one the most. I don't hardly use my camera feature on my phone anymore because I love this one. This app is free on the iTunes Store so that is a big plus! Another advantage to this app is you get to edit your photos before you post them. I mainly use this app to post to Twitter, not as often to Facebook though.

I stumbled upon this app by seeing many celebrities posting photos with this app on Twitter. I was like why not check it out. Sometimes I wish I never would have checked it out because I am addicted to it. Only makes my taking pictures thousand times worse. I'm now taking pictures of everything and editing them then posting them! There is a "feed" feature where you can follow people and see the pictures that your friends post.

Pros: Snapping a quick picture then editing it with about 20 different effects. Have the option to give it a caption and decide where you would like to post it. Following friends is easy if they have the app and follow some of your favorite celebrities. Keeps all your photos organized and you can like other peoples photos too.

Cons: Only gives certain effects. I wish you could crop and do different features. Some of the effects tend to repeat themselves but one just puts a border around it. It's not a widely known app so not a lot of people have this app. I also wish you could view your photo profile online but you can't you can only view your pictures on your profile on your iPhone.

No Clue

I ponder this topic a lot, wondering what I want to do with my life. I don't even know, I can't even think up of a career that I want to do for the rest of my life. I assume someday I will figure this out, but what am I supposed to do in the meantime? Do I keep throwing money away for college for something I don't even want to do? What if I won't be able to make a living for something I want to do, or I would have to move away from everyone I love?
I see people around me going toward their dreams but I figure I don't really know what I dream of doing. I love horseback riding and have always dreamed of doing something with them. Problem is I've grown up in the wrong area to pursue this at a young age. Plus it's really expensive to have this hobby that I want, a horse costs a lot and the expenses just keep adding up because they need to be maintained and fed.
Right now I think in the long term about how I'm growing up and need to actually be finishing my college up and graduating with a degree towards something. Maybe I just want to rush college because I don't enjoy it at all, just get the degree and get it done with. Too bad getting a job can't be that easy. I think maybe I'm afraid I won't make enough money to have my own house or support a family.
So right now I have no clue what I want to do with my life, but I think I'm okay with that because I do have some time to figure it out. It's not something I should rush into like I would like, these things take time. I've already tried to do something I wasn't really interested in and I don't want that to happen again. So for now I'm just going to live life and enjoy it and figure things out as they come. No more worrying about it.

iPhone 4

Being a previous owner to multiple different cell phones I finally have one that I really love and enjoy! It never leaves my side even when I am not in service. I give it five stars easy, but I have always loved Apple products. I went with the iPhone 4 and not the 4s because of cost issues.
I make sure I have a case on my phone at all times so that if it acidentally gets hit or dropped it is protected. The case I currently have on mine is part of the Linear crystal series from SGP. I love cases that still allow you to see the back of the phone while having some color added to it. Plus it protects the phone really well, I've dropped it a couple times and still protected.
One of the features I love about this phone is you can text iPhone to iPhone even when you aren't in service, you just have to have wifi connected. Texting was one feature I was afraid of owning an iPhone for. I have always been a person who enjoys sliding keyboards to type. The switch over wasnt too difficult for me because I have been an owner of an iTouch for a couple of years. FaceTime is another feature that comes on the phone that I love. The only thing I don't like about that is you have to be connected to wifi to FaceTime with someone.
The camera takes excellent pictures for being a camera phone. I have downloaded the app called "Instagram" so that I can edit some of the pictures I have taken and can quickly upload them. I use this app all the time. Another feature to that app that I enjoy is you can follow some of your favorite celebrities and see what they are taking pictures of. I recently splurged and bought a camera app that does even more editing. I haven't gotten to use it yet but plan to sometime soon.
This is my first cell phone that allows apps. I am not the type of person to download a lot of apps just because I can, I like to have a clean cell phone. Some of the apps that I do have is Twitter, Thumb (an opinion giving app), iHeartRadio, ShopSavvy, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Pinterest, Angry Birds, and 360 Live. Seems like I have a lot more now that I mention them lol.
The company I go through is Sprint so the service around where I live is spotty. I don't get service where I live even though sometimes I can recieve phone calls and text messages. So while I am not in service I connect to my wifi. Sprint has never really been to well with ringtones but with the iPhone they can't stop them which is something I love. I love the ability to make a different ringtone for each person in my contact list.
I don't plan on getting another phone anytime soon, I absolutely LOVE this phone. The only upgrades I will be doing is upgrading to a newer iPhone in the future. Maybe even getting a different memory even since I only have the smallest amount available.

Who Am I?

I was born with an uncommon spelling of a semi-common name, the name is Shelbey. I am currently 19 years old. I have some big dreams for myself that I'm not quite sure how to accomplish, but maybe someday I will figure them all out. There is a lot to me and numerous subjects that I am passionate about.
Since I haven't really went through who I am, here are some facts about me:

• I have an amazing boyfriend whom I love with everything I've got in me. He understands me and knows how to make me smile. He's my knight and shining armour and I have no clue how my life would be without him, he helped me find who I am.
• Family is huge to me! I come from a small family of four but my extended family on my dads side is big! Support from them is everything to me! I don't know how I could ever show them how much I appreciate them!
• I love anything animal print. One day my future house or future childs bedroom is going to be all cheetah print or zebra print.
• I want to make a difference. It doesn't matter in what field if it's medicine or poverty I want to do something to help other people out.
• I LOVE animals! Someday I want to stop animal abuse of all kinds. These animals don't get to choose who their owners are. I wanted to attend college for pre-vet but I can't stand seeing those poor animals being hurt, yet I want to help them so bad!
• Someday I want to own a great dane. I love how big they are but yet so kind and gentle. I want to own a female one that is white with black spots.
• I was born and raised in a really small town that people have hardly heard about. I used to be unsure about if I liked growing up here but now I realize that I'm proud to have grown up here even though it's got a bad reputation now.
• I know every song that plays on the three radio stations I love here. It amuses people that I know every word after just hearing it once or twice.
• I play video games, most the time on an Xbox 360 Elite. Mostly first person shooting games like Call of Duty based games. I enjoy other games like Guitar Hero and DJ Hero. I may not be the best, but I don't play for stats I play to have fun.
• Last and not least: Love. I am a hopeless romantic and love well love =]. This may be a bad trait in myself but I instantly hate other people who try to break up other peoples relationships. I don't even have to know the person but if that's what I see then they are really going to have to work harder to be my friend. Why can't someone else leave others relationships alone?

Why the name LoveUnrated?
The story behind the name of my blog is because I went to a generator site and had it include the word love. The first one that caught my eye was Loverated. LoveUnrated is because love isn't rated, it comes in multiple different forms in many different ways.
