Stress

My first post ever in the year 2014, boy am I slacking or what? I honestly feel like I have no time though when I really probably do have the time. 2014 has already proven that it's going to be quite the year for me, heck it started off with a change right before midnight with my boyfriend getting an awesome new job.
Change really isn't my favorite thing in the world but I do believe that it can be good sometimes. It's just hard for me to get back into the groove of things when things change. This year I also have to take my pharmacy technician certification test and that has me stressed to the max. I also have some other big news that I can't wait for but where it's still up in the air I'm not really going to talk about that quite yet.
This year I also noticed that I've been sick way more then I ever have in a year...and it's only March. The head cold mainly is what's sticking around, but I'm tired of feeling like crap. So I Googled ways to improve my immune system since I'm constantly around sick people at my work. The first thing that popped up was lack of sleep and stress. The sleep thing I can work on and do but the stress thing I'm not sure how to stop.
Even when I do pass this test the stress is still going to be there because of the people I'm dealing with and what I'm doing. I still wish I could do the job that I would absolutely love but I know I can't make a living off of that. It's all about money and money is another big stress item. Everything is too expensive and overpriced.
Don't get me wrong I'm glad I have a good job and everything but I just wish I could be healthy and not have to stress. Easier said then done.

2013

Where did 2013 go? It went by way too fast. It seems like all I did this year was work but a lot of changes have happened. Like my job for instance, I got a great opportunity and now within the new year I am going to become certified!

Some things that happened this year:

• Got a job as a pharmacy tech
• Got employee of the month
• Ran in a Color Run
• Bought a brand new 2013 Hyundai Elantra
• Got the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini
• Got an Xbox One
• I turned 21
• Got my nose pierced again

There were other things that were supposed to happen during 2013 that I wish would have happened. Like I was so close to being able to go to Selena Gomez's concert for her Stars Dance Tour and I was also about to go to Las Vegas for the NFR. 

Since this entry is so short I will include some of my favorites this year:

The Color Run 2013

Another item I can check off from my bucket list. If you know me you would know I hate running and anything to do with it, so being excited to run a race was surprisingly to me. I was so excited for this I even had a countdown app on my phone to countdown to this event. I have been counting down since I signed up for this race months ago. I was also glad we made the decision to go up the night before.
We went and picked up our packets the day before at Sports Authority. They had a lot of cool stuff that you could buy if you wanted to. I ended up buying a pair of sunglasses and an arm band to keep my phone in during the race. Then it was off to the mall to find my mom and "the girl from work" a tutu to wear during the race. Then we went to eat and then to the bookstore, it was a pretty good day. We also snapped this pretty funny picture of us the night before the race.
Race morning came and we headed over to go run. It was a nice clear day after a couple rainy days. It wasnt too hot though so that was nice. I was excited to start the race to get my too white clothes colorful =].

During the race, this was actually after we passed the yellow zone on the way back we came and got some extra yellow =]. I tried to take a lot of pictures during the race but looking back at my camera I wish I would have taken more. Now I know better for next year!

After you finish there is an "after party" where they throw color and throw free stuff. It was fun but unfortunately I didnt catch anything. The after party is where I got most of my color on me. Let me tell you it feels weird when someone throws color at you, it almost feels like a wet substance but its just a powder.

This is how I ended up looking after the race. It was the funnest 3 miles I have ever jogged/walked. I had color all over the place.

I am so glad I was finally able to do this race and glad I got to do it with some amazing people. I am really glad I got to do it with my mom and Caitlin. I can't wait for next year!

Remember Me?

So much has happened since the last time I posted, a lot has happened. The most major thing I think that happened was I got a new better job! It's still at the same place just different department. I now work at the pharmacy as a pharmacy tech, I was so glad to be away from the customer service center. I had been there for two years so it was definitely time for a change.
This June also marked a year of moving out of my parents house. I miss living with my parents but I had to move out sooner or later. Since I did just turn 21 this month =]. Speaking of my 21st birthday I got the most amazing gift from my parents, grandparents, boyfriend, and my sister! I love them all soo much, and not just for getting me exactly what I wished for. My parents, grandparents, and boyfriend all went in and bought me a Canon Rebel T3i! My sister got me an awesome cover for my MacBook Pro thats an awesome light blue color and also a strap for my new camera! It was probably the best birthday, it was nice going to dinner with my family and getting to order my first alcoholic drink =].

So I went camping for the first time in years, it was soo nice. I got to go fishing out on the boat (havent done that since 2007) and I caught 5 fish. I also took pictures with my new camera, that was a struggle though between having to run to my pole. I captured this picture of this butterfly that was super friendly and wouldnt leave my sister or grandpa. It was such a beautiful day also, so nice to get out of town too.
I also have some new favorites this year also, like a new favorite color which is this light blue/ sea green color. I have decked my phone case and my laptop in that color. I also like the galaxy print for some reason.

I can't believe it's almost the end of 2012, this year has seemed to have flown by. In my mind it should still be summer, but nope Christmas is creeping around the corner. A lot of great things have happened this year and I can't wait to see what next year brings me.

Things that happened this year:

• Voted in my first presidential election.
• Moved out into my own place.
• Got employee of the month and a raise at my job.
• Got 2 kittens of our very own!
• Went Black Friday shopping for the very first time.
• Got my second tattoo and a rook and cartilage piercing. 

Probably a lot more happened but since I can't seem to remember I will leave it at that. This upcoming year I plan to blog a lot more than I do right now. I want to also start up a video blog for my other blog, but we will see how that goes. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

MacBook Pro

I just got a new laptop just recently because my Sony decided to break down on me after a year of owning it. I sent it in to be fixed and was hoping that it would work but they gave me an estimate of close to $300 and I was no way going to spend that much to fix that. I went about a month and a half without a computer and no TV... it was hell.

Oh I guess I haven't blogged since I moved out. I moved out of my parents house at the beginning of the summer. I moved in with my boyfriend and we live in a basement. We have no satellite to watch TV but we do have this thing that gets us a couple of the local channels. I have been sticking to Netflix mainly. 

To make our place a little bit more like a "home" we got two kittens. We named them Ebony and Sage and let me tell you they are quite the handful sometimes. They get into everything and chew up things (like my headphones... gahh). They are getting better except they are determined to always go out the door. I will have to post pictures of them soon. 

Still working at the same place. Exciting news there is I got employee of the month for September =]. Not much happening at work just the same stuff. Hmm not much really to say this is just an update to what has been going on. Took a couple of days to get into this account because I forgot the email I used for it. It's soo nice to have a computer though!

I decided to splurge and buy an Apple computer cause I have heard nothing but good about them. I got the 15 inch MacBook Pro and I am in love with it! It's the best! I don't know why I didn't get one sooner lol.

Well thats about all I know right now. I am going to try to blog more often but thats what I always say. Laters =]
