Major Life Update

So let's all just agree that I shouldn't become a professional blogger since I can't keep up with any of it. I'm terrible at it! I had fun just now going through all my old posts and reading about my life back before 2014. So here I am making an update post so that in a couple of years I can read it.
Last thing I posted about was planning my wedding...that came and went almost two years ago. It was the hottest day yet that year and also a busy day for a lot of other events going on. It was a great
day and I loved every minute of it. After my wedding literally two days later I got pretty sick and was sick for like months. I had to go see an infection specialist but finally I got put on the right antibiotics and it went away. We took our honeymoon a year later in Honolulu, Hawaii. I loved it! We spent nine days in paradise and we did a lot of different things. I went parasailing for the first time and I also learned I don't like sailing in the ocean. We went deep sea fishing and even swam with turtles!

Back to the real world again after our honeymoon. Work work and more work. I almost forgot, we had a new member of the family join us!
We bought a pitbull puppy that we named Blitz, he's the sweetest dog ever and I can't imagine not owning him. He is quite the character and was so easy to train! I miss him being in his little puppy stage as he grew like a weed. He's super tall and lanky for a pit but I love it! Hopefully someday we can get him a friend to play with as he loves other dogs a lot. He does so good at the dog park and he's so smart that he just knows when we are going there. He's seriously the best and also the best cuddle buddy a girl could ask for. He literally goes everywhere with us and loves when we go visit my parents.

Around New Years of entering 2018 I found out I was pregnant! We were super excited for this journey, well we scheduled our first appointment and set up
our first ultrasound. I was super nervous for the ultrasound, my mom and my husband came to the appointment with me. We got the surprise of a lifetime when the tech told us I was expecting TWINS! How the heck does that even happen? It took a bit of time getting my head around that I had two babies with strong heartbeats being created inside me but now I am super excited for them! The picture on the left is how we announced them on Facebook with the caption- We were going for the extra point but got the two point conversion instead! Twins arriving just in time for football season! Obviously both are going to be Seahawks fans even though it's funny my hubby thinks they have a chance at being Falcons fans...he wishes lol.
Couple weeks ago we found out we are having two boys! I had a feeling they were both going to be boys but I was ultimately hoping for a girl and a boy. Now we are facing that they could be identical and I may have to travel to a bigger city to see if they share the vein that causes twin to twin transfer syndrome. Luckily for todays technology they can catch it way in advance and I wont really have to worry about it happening. I'm due in early September but with twins they generally come early so we will probably be expecting their arrival in late August.

Alright so that's all I have for now. I will hopefully (lets not get our hopes up) keep this updated. Lot's of new things are coming for us in the future and I can't wait for it, even though I'm nervous. Lot's of plans coming up now that it's spring/summer coming up like my sister is getting married! See you all next time.

Journey to Wedding

My first wedding post and I'm 52 days away from saying "I Do". Dang I'm doing a great job at this blogging thing! Lets just say this is going by wayyyyy faster than I thought it was going to. I used to have over 200 days to plan and now I am basically 50 days away. This is getting scary! I want to be able to come back to this blog and read how I was feeling what I was doing during this important time in my life. So here is a blog post about what's been going on.
Hmm where do I start? I said yes to the dress on July 7th, 2015 so I've had the thing basically as long as I have been engaged. Love my dress and it literally fit me perfectly on the day that I tried it on. I have had my love/hate relationship with the dress ever since. I've tried it on 3 times total and each time is different. We got our engagement pictures taken and I seriously can't pick just one as my favorite and I want to post them all but I'm not. We got them taken in the fall time, which we did have to reschedule multiple times due to bad weather, but I am extremely happy with how they turned out.
I found out who I wanted to be in my wedding and I made bridesmaid boxes. Not how I wanted to ask them but it's all I could come up with. They turned out pretty cute and at the time I only had asked four bridesmaids, now I have 5 total. The groomsmen are all picked out also and next step from them is getting sized. I have already talked to the place where they are getting their outfits about what I expect them to be in and what colors. I decided on a sea-foam green/ light blue color with gold as the accent color.
The boxes pictured on the left are the boxes my original four bridesmaids got. The one pictured below is the one the fifth bridesmaid got a couple of months ago. That one was a bit shorter notice and I feel bad for that.

We have someone making our cake which I am beyond excited about. She's going to make a simple 2 tier cake with cupcakes to go along with it. I can't wait to see what she comes up with. I purchased a cake topper which I think will go super cute with the gold accent color and it will just totally be us. I got this cake topper from a shop on Etsy. Etsy is quite addicting when you are trying to plan a wedding. I also ordered my guest book and my garter from Etsy. My guest book was supposed to be a Polaroid guest book where guests got their picture taken right when they got there but that plan didn't quite happen. So I ordered a cute guest book that was personalized just for us.

The venue that I am holding it at is super pretty. I really wanted an indoor wedding but settled for a partially outdoor one instead. I needed to have a backup just in case the weather was crappy that day. I found this place in my hometown that has two big ball rooms and the huge windows open up. So I will be getting married under the archway which is sorta outdoors right?
I'm just hoping we can get a good setup for a nice dance floor but yet area for people to sit. I think it will be decorated pretty cute also. It's also nice because they provide tables and chairs and we get into the place 2 days before the wedding. Just hoping we can transform this into a nice place for a wedding to be held.

My garter is so totally me and doesn't have any color relation or anything to my wedding. It just fits me as a person and I really love that! I ordered it off of an Etsy shop and I love it! So excited to wear this for my wedding!! It comes with two garters, one to toss and one for me to keep. I love both of them so it sorta sucks that I have to get rid of one of them. Especially since the one getting tossed is my favorite color of green. I was so glad to have found a garter like this because I didn't know they could even come like this!

So thats about it for the first post about my wedding. Hopefully I can make another one before the wedding actually happens because I still have a lot of things to go over. I just don't want to make this post super long.

I'm Getting Married!!

Yep thats right... over 6 1/2 years of dating my boyfriend he finally asked me to marry him! I wasn't expecting it and I was so excited. He proposed to me on my birthday and later broke the news to my family at my birthday lunch. I feel like he picked out the perfect ring also. I have no clue how he pulled it off.
So here I am in the middle of wedding planning. I didn't realize how expensive this was going to be. I have a venue, dress, DJ, and now a photographer. All that I need is someone to marry us and I will be set for the major details. We set our date for early next June and I already can't wait!
We already have asked our friends who are going to be apart of the wedding party and they have all said yes. For my bridesmaids I asked them with gift boxes with some goodies and a card inside. I also have my flower girls also. Things are coming along! I'm sure as the day gets closer I will start freaking out and making sure everything will be perfect. For now though I'm just trying to enjoy the whole process.
I can't wait to get our engagement pictures done. This will be the first time ever getting professional pictures done by someone that I don't know. Lets talk about my dress for a second... I chose the first one that I tried on, it was just that perfect. It was like it was made for me and no one else. I can't wait to wear it down the aisle and it's so hard not to tell Sean anything about my dress.
I decided to go with a sea green/teal blue and gold for our colors. I think they will go together nicely.
Only 266 days to go before I saw "I Do".

2014

It's already that time of year again where another year has just slipped away right in front of my eyes. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. It's been quite a year with good times, some changes, and lots of new things.
So I started off the year of 2014 with my boyfriend getting a new job at a pretty awesome company and I was still working at my same work place as a pharmacy technician. I liked my job but there were some parts of it that just weren't me. I did like the people I worked with and some of the customers that I had.
Not much happened within the next couple of months besides getting used to my boyfriends new work schedule and me having to work the opposite times as him. It was hard to plan things with family and it really sucked that I still had to work the weekends when he had them off.

So in January my niece (she's not my real niece yet =]) turned 1 and I got to take pictures of her party. That was pretty fun and she was adorable. I actually got the chances to take formal pictures two different times this year. Made my dream of wanting to become a photographer that much more into a reality. I could do it every day. I did family photos for a family that I have known since I was born and I also did their daughters senior pictures. In February my boyfriend and I hit 5 years together.
So the year kept going on with me working and waiting patiently for summer to get here. In May though something big happened for Sean and I. We had been looking into purchasing a place but didn't think it would happen this year. It actually happened quite fast, we went and looked at a place one weekend and put in an offer that day. It was pretty stressful though because other people had put in an offer that same day. Luckily everything worked out for us and we are both home owners at the age of 20 and 21. It was a huge step for us but I wouldn't want it with anyone else. Our house is a three bedroom two bathroom place which is the perfect size for us. We have a spare room for visitors and our game room for all our electronics.
We moved into our place in June. In June also happened to be my 22nd birthday which we spent here with family and a few close friends. We had some cake and went to a pizza place for dinner where I got to go on a motorcycle (first time ever). For my birthday I got a patio set for our new house from my parents and grandparents, a plate set from my sister, and pink Astro headphones from my boyfriend. I had a pretty great birthday even though I hated turning another year older. Next was my first experience going to Hoopfest in Spokane Washington. I can't wait to play next year instead of being a spectator. It was fun though because it wasn't too hot and I got to take pictures during it. For the fourth of July I went on a drive with my family and boyfriend, it was quite entertaining and just overall a fun day. Then we had a BBQ later that night.
Then it was my sisters 21st birthday in July and we ended up going to Las Vegas with my mom, grandma, and my sisters friend. It was pretty fun even though I didn't go out clubbing or drinking. I did gamble though and ended up winning $50 and had a blast shopping. I also went sliding down Fremont Street which freaked me out but was also so fun. We did a lot of walking and seeing things this trip.
When we got back home it was only a short two weeks until The Color Run! This was my second time doing it. This year I ended up walking it instead of running. We got lots of color this year and it was super fun. I also really enjoyed that my sister got to do it this year with us and that my boyfriend could also go too! It was a lot of fun.
So then it was back to work and the summer was basically over. During my trip to Vegas though I had started the process of applying for another job since I wasn't really feeling any growth in the company I was working for. I landed myself an interview and ended up getting the job at this amazing company (which is the same company my boyfriend works for). It's so nice being able to have a consistent schedule and weekends off. There are a lot of opportunities for growth and we just got an awesome bonus. The only crappy thing is I have to travel about 45 minutes to get there and I work the swing shift which I end at 11:20 pm. I really enjoy my job though and I feel a lot happier now then I ever have.
Mid August my boyfriend turned 21 and we ended up going to my grandparents house to have a BBQ and go swimming. It was pretty fun day with close friends and family.
After that we both worked and I got adjusted to having a new job. In between that we visited with family and had some pretty great times. Like recently it was just my moms birthday and we went out there and had an awesome dinner and played board games. Now we are looking at Thanksgiving coming up this week and I can't wait to be with family all together even though my sister won't be there for the first time ever.
Looking back I had a pretty eventful year so far and it's not even at the end yet. I still have Thanksgiving and Christmas to go through but I wanted to post this now. I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for me but it can slow down a bit.

Here are some of my favorite things this year:

  • Favorite color is sea green, bright green, pink, and blue.
  • Love anything sparkles or glitter
  • I'm into animal print still but also chevron.
  • My favorite song is The Heart Wants What it Wants by Selena Gomez
  • I'm into owls and birds
  • I've been watching a couple of TV shows The American Horror Story, The Vampire Diaries, and Grey's Anatomy.
  • I'm into Spiderman or super hero things like clothing and really anything to do with them.

Stress

My first post ever in the year 2014, boy am I slacking or what? I honestly feel like I have no time though when I really probably do have the time. 2014 has already proven that it's going to be quite the year for me, heck it started off with a change right before midnight with my boyfriend getting an awesome new job.
Change really isn't my favorite thing in the world but I do believe that it can be good sometimes. It's just hard for me to get back into the groove of things when things change. This year I also have to take my pharmacy technician certification test and that has me stressed to the max. I also have some other big news that I can't wait for but where it's still up in the air I'm not really going to talk about that quite yet.
This year I also noticed that I've been sick way more then I ever have in a year...and it's only March. The head cold mainly is what's sticking around, but I'm tired of feeling like crap. So I Googled ways to improve my immune system since I'm constantly around sick people at my work. The first thing that popped up was lack of sleep and stress. The sleep thing I can work on and do but the stress thing I'm not sure how to stop.
Even when I do pass this test the stress is still going to be there because of the people I'm dealing with and what I'm doing. I still wish I could do the job that I would absolutely love but I know I can't make a living off of that. It's all about money and money is another big stress item. Everything is too expensive and overpriced.
Don't get me wrong I'm glad I have a good job and everything but I just wish I could be healthy and not have to stress. Easier said then done.

2013

Where did 2013 go? It went by way too fast. It seems like all I did this year was work but a lot of changes have happened. Like my job for instance, I got a great opportunity and now within the new year I am going to become certified!

Some things that happened this year:

  • Got a job as a pharmacy tech
  • Got employee of the month
  • Ran in a Color Run
  • Bought a brand new 2013 Hyundai Elantra
  • Got the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini
  • Got an Xbox One
  • I turned 21
  • Got my nose pierced again
There were other things that were supposed to happen during 2013 that I wish would have happened. Like I was so close to being able to go to Selena Gomez's concert for her Stars Dance Tour and I was also about to go to Las Vegas for the NFR.
Since this entry is so short I will include some of my favorites this year:
  • My favorite app was Instragram
  • Favorite songs: The Story of My Life- One Direction, all of the songs on the Stars Dance Album by Selena Gomez, Sweater Weather
  • Favorite Video game: Call of Duty Ghosts
  • Sites: Tumblr and Wanelo

The Color Run 2013

Another item I can check off from my bucket list. If you know me you would know I hate running and anything to do with it, so being excited to run a race was surprisingly to me. I was so excited for this I even had a countdown app on my phone to countdown to this event. I have been counting down since I signed up for this race months ago. I was also glad we made the decision to go up the night before.
We went and picked up our packets the day before at Sports Authority. They had a lot of cool stuff that you could buy if you wanted to. I ended up buying a pair of sunglasses and an arm band to keep my phone in during the race. Then it was off to the mall to find my mom and "the girl from work" a tutu to wear during the race. Then we went to eat and then to the bookstore, it was a pretty good day. We also snapped this pretty funny picture of us the night before the race.
Race morning came and we headed over to go run. It was a nice clear day after a couple rainy days. It wasnt too hot though so that was nice. I was excited to start the race to get my too white clothes colorful =].
This was us before the race.
During the race, this was actually after we passed the yellow zone on the way back we came and got some extra yellow =]. I tried to take a lot of pictures during the race but looking back at my camera I wish I would have taken more. Now I know better for next year!
After you finish there is an "after party" where they throw color and throw free stuff. It was fun but unfortunately I didnt catch anything. The after party is where I got most of my color on me. Let me tell you it feels weird when someone throws color at you, it almost feels like a wet substance but its just a powder.
This is how I ended up looking after the race. It was the funnest 3 miles I have ever jogged/walked. I had color all over the place.
I even got to meet the runicorn! Now for more pictures =]
Caitlin and I at the after party. Notice my raccoon eyes!
My mom and I <3 love this picture soooo much.
 Heading back to the car.
Such a fun time with these two =]
I am so glad I was finally able to do this race and glad I got to do it with some amazing people. I am really glad I got to do it with my mom and Caitlin. I can't wait for next year!
